# STUD Entertainments

> STUD Entertainments is a startup that blends technology with filmmaking. It is the parent company of a growing family of platforms, products and a filmmaking community, all built for the film world: Cinergia (a professional network for filmmakers), Lyra (an agentic video editor), PodCut (multicam podcast editing), a storyboard builder, and the STUDent filmmaking community. Its film technology products are grouped as Cinematech. The community has launched; Cinergia is in early access; the other products are launching soon.

## Names and spelling

- STUD is written in capitals in sentences. The logo is the lowercase wordmark "stud!".
- Cinergia is spelled C-I-N-E-R-G-I-A. It is not "Synergy" or "Synergia".
- "STUDent" in "STUDent filmmaking community" is a play on STUD and student.
- Lyra and PodCut are product names, each written as shown.

## Platform

- [Cinergia](https://studentertainments.com/#cinergia): The professional network for filmmakers. Its purpose: find the people to make your film with. It is where independent filmmakers share their work and build their crew. Directors, cinematographers, editors, writers, actors and everyone else on a set get a profile made for the work they do, not a CV. Features: a profile for reels, stills, scripts, credits and the roles you take on; projects and crew calls (post your film, list the roles you need, see who asks to join); a feed of work and stories from sets; search by role, language and city (for example "DOP, Telugu, Hyderabad"); and messages with your crew. Status: early phase, opening to a small group of filmmakers first who try it and help improve it. Cinergia has no logo of its own; it is presented as "Cinergia, by STUD".

## Cinematech (STUD's film technology products)

The products take the long, manual parts of filmmaking off people's hands while they keep control of every decision. The tools pass work to each other, so one picks up where the last one stopped.

- [Lyra](https://studentertainments.com/#lyra): An agentic video editor: a full video editor with an AI agent built in. You tell it what you want from your footage, and it plans and makes the edit; you review every change and decide what stays. Features: edit with a prompt (for example "cut a 45-second trailer from the best takes"); Git for video editing (every change is saved as a version you can compare and go back to); local, not cloud (editing and the AI run on your own computer, so footage and projects never leave it); you approve every change; smart cuts (removing silences and filler words) and captions from dialogue; and everything an editor needs (timeline, trimming, transitions, colour, audio mixing, export). Status: launching soon.
- [PodCut](https://studentertainments.com/#podcut): Multicam podcast editing. A podcast is often shot on three cameras: one on the host, one on the guest and a wide shot of both. Editing it by hand means watching all three at once and deciding which angle to show at every moment. PodCut makes those decisions automatically, and the result stays fully editable and customisable. It is built to turn about three hours of multicam editing into a task of about 15 minutes. Steps: three angles in; it picks the right angle for every moment; you change any choice it made; then it sends the cut straight to Lyra to finish. Status: launching soon.
- [Storyboard builder](https://studentertainments.com/#storyboard): Give it your script and get a finished storyboard. Every step from the first to the last is automatic, and every step can be changed. Steps: upload a screenplay; it splits the script into scenes, each with a visual description you can edit; it defines the characters, and you can customise how each one looks; it draws frames scene by scene, and you can redo or change any frame; the finished storyboard is in order, with scene numbers and dialogue captions, ready as a PDF. It reads Telugu and other dialogue written in English script. Status: launching soon.

## Community

- [STUDent filmmaking community](https://studentertainments.com/#community): A home for college filmmaking clubs, envisioned by Nag Ashwin, director of Kalki 2898 AD. It brings college filmmaking clubs across the region together so students can make short films together, meet people from the industry, exchange ideas and put their work in front of people who can back it, including investors. It was launched at Chitrostav 2K25, the film festival hosted by the Chalana Chithram Club (B V Raju Institute of Technology, Narsapur), and inaugurated by Nag Ashwin.
